High in the Himalayas, Tashi the snow leopard cub sets out with her mother to help deliver the local mail. Along the ravines and snow-covered ridges, the snow leopards make their way through the mountains, and Tashi learns new snow leopard skills as they go. When Tashi discovers a stranger’s mailbox that never gets any mail, she writes a letter of kindness to its owner. But when she needs help the most, Tashi discovers that her kindness comes back to her in a way she never expected.
Tashi’s uplifting story, written by Carrie Hasler and illustrated by Jan Smith, is published by the award-winning San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Press. The story helps teach children about the importance of being kind, and also includes fun facts about snow leopards.
