Deep in the lush Amazon rainforest, the Treehouse Inn is a place for animals to rest and go slow, just like its innkeeper, Santiago the sloth. But with the rainforest quickly disappearing, more and more animals seek shelter at the inn. Soon, it becomes overcrowded. Will Santiago find enough room for everyone?
The sloths’ inspiring story, written by Carrie Hasler and illustrated by Christina Wald, is published by the award-winning San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Press. Through these publishing efforts, we seek to inspire children and adults to care about wildlife, the natural world, and conservation. The story teaches children about the Amazon rainforest and it's inhabitants, and also includes fun facts about sloths, iguanas, jaguars and more.
34-page, hardcover book. Recommended for ages 4-8 years.
